“I’ve done stupider,” Sparrowhawk admits ruefully. Which brings the conversation to a screeching halt. Wiccan and Speed both stare at their brother. Pietro does the same.
His ‘nephew,’ the smallest of his brothers, with his clinging uniform that does nothing to disguise the weight he needs to put on. The list of activities stupider than invading Doom’s castle is a very short one. And most of it consists of activities involving nuclear weapons, toxic waste, or large fires.
“This is the story behind how you lost your spleen, isn’t it,” Speed says, voice resigned.
Sparrowhawk hesitates. “…That’s one of them, yes.”
