Ra’s and Tim caught in a blizzard

And forced into sharing body heat, much to Tim’s chagrin

initially…

Mwahahaha. Oh Tim, you get yourself into the best situations.

“Drake Residence, We are currently unavailable to take your call. You can leave you name—”
“Hi, Dad…”

An idea: during the first arc of Red Robin, the only way Dick even knows Tim is alive is because Tim keeps calling the answering machine. Then suddenly, he stops. (After getting involved with the league of assassins, because Tim doesn’t want to broadcast that weakness.)
Dick was terrified that Tim had died.

“That was quick, did you find him?”
“Yeah…”
“Kon?”
“Tim, buddy, you’re not going to like this. He’s with Ra’s.”
“…Who?”
“Dammit. Ugh, God dammit.”
“Who’s that?”
“This super powerful old dude, with a super powerful grudge against Tim.”
“Don’t worry, Billy. We’ll get Teddy. Let me alone to think for a while?”
“But—”
“C’mon Billy, lets see what Alf’s cooking.”

I love this AU so, so much.

Blame this on afewnovelideas edition of AUs I’m Not Writing, Dammit:

Because I re-read her ideas for her fic ‘Nobody Matters’ and came across the notes on Tim. So- Nobody Tim and Nobody Steph.

Mythotix- Tim

Nixphetaes- Steph

Tim and Steph’s world was overrun by the heartless a little while after Steph became Robin. Both of them became nobodies, and became members of Organization XIII at the same time. The rest of the batfamily escaped during the evacuations. As far as they know, Steph and Tim are dead.

Mythotix resembles Tim, more or less. His eyes are dark gray, and his hair is red, and he isn’t scarred at all. But other than that he’s Tim’s double. Nixphetaes looks very little like Steph on the surface. Like Mythotix, her eyes are gray, several shades lighter than his. She has very short black hair, in a pageboy cut.

They’re partners within Organization XIII. Mythotix is the more outwardly normal, optimistic one. The memories he retains from being human are largely from his time in Young Justice, as well a few scattered memories of the time he got forced out of his position as…he doesn’t know what. He remembers being lonely and restless and miserable in the time before he was turned, and isn’t really bothered by his status as a Nobody. He uses a heavy staff as his main weapon, and controls a pack of wolf-like heartless.

Nixphetaes has few memories of being human. Most of them bad- her father, and giving up the baby being the main ones. She’s colder, and crueler, than her partner. Nixphetaes rarely shows preferences or reaction to events around her, except when Mythotix is threatened. That’s generally a bad idea. People die. Lots, and lots, and lots of people, unless Mythotix can cajole her into stopping. She uses throwing knives as her main weapon, and has control over a small flock of bird-like heartless.

In certain ways, they resemble their human selves very strongly- Mythotix is a pathological stalker, has a tendency to talk to animals, and is scary good at long term planning. Nixphetaes is brilliant at improvising, is determined as hell when she sets her mind to it, and has little respect for authority. They’re good partners. They know each other’s cues, they compliment each other skill wise, and they’re good at collaborating with each other. And since both of them, being nobodies, have few moral objections to anything, they are absolutely terrifying when on a mission. They’re world killers.

They share a secret- both of them are starting to feel some weak emotions, mainly involving each other. It remains to be seen how this will effect their totally unplanned and rapidly upcoming run in with the remaining batfamily.

Good choice Tim.
He was clearly trying to get Dick’s attention.

Miss Julie is pretty much the reason I started shipping Dick and Tim again. Which is what makes it so frustrating I can’t write Dick well.

(Also. Size difference. Yum.)

No Man’s Land AU plotbunny

Gotham: No Man’s Land. Quarantined by a three mile demilitarized zone, and a military blockade. Home of the damned. The only place eleven-year-old secret peddler Tim Drake has ever known. Tim, like thousands of other orphaned and abandoned children, runs wild among the city. Watching, remembering, extrapolating. Learning. He barters for anything he needs with information. Innocuous facts, like where to find good fabric these days. Dangerous facts, like which crime lord’s lieutenants aren’t as loyal as they could be. Obscure facts, like how the dust settles in certain city lots after a banshee wind.

One day, though, Tim gets in over his head. He notices new people moving among his familiar streets, taking children, and he follows them. They lead him back to Ra’s al Ghul, who is not amused by his little spy.

"Tell me how you followed them, and I’ll let you live."

Tim offers up a hollow imitation of smile. “A secret peddler who can be intimidated into giving free answers is dead anyway. I’d rather go quickly, thanks all the same.”

Ra’s looks over him, and something about Tim makes him smirk.

"But these answers may be bought?" Ra’s asks. Tim nods. Ra’s makes him an offer: anything, within reason, from beyond the blockade in return for an explanation. Tim considers this.

"A pomegranate," he says, hazy child-memories of a nanny offering him a cupful of seeds rising to mind.

Ra’s looks at him, considering and strange. “It is done then. Explain.” And Tim does, and then disappears back into the city, never expecting Ra’s to return with payment. It was only the principle of the thing that made him demand pay- he had a reputation to protect. But he no more expected that pomegranate than he did the moon.

But Ra’s does return, with the pomegranate and another question. It becomes a pattern. Tim answers, Ra’s leaves, and returns with payment and another inquiry.

Tim knows Ra’s only as the Child Stealer, just as Ra’s only knows Tim as the Secret Peddler. Tim does work for Ra’s for almost a year, investigating his questions for barter goods.

The last question Ra’s comes to him with is also the largest: ‘Find me the people who keep the city from succumbing completely to chaos, and tell me everything about them.’

Tim does. It takes weeks, but he has Ra’s’ answer. Ra’s gives him his payment (A box of silk ribbons, salt, dried herbs, and a manual water filter) and disappears.

The next time Tim sees Ra’s, No Man’s Land is burning. Ra’s sweeps into Tim’s hidy-hole, and picks him up like he weighs nothing. (Which is very nearly true- Tim is barely four foot three, and weighs only 58 pounds.)

"It would be a waste to allow you to perish with the rest of this fallen city," Ra’s tells him, pinning him easily despite his struggles. Tim is carried from the building, and Ra’s turns to look at the burning city.

"Beautiful," Ra’s sighed, and Tim is horrified to realize he can see where Ra’s is coming from.

(This, I can already tell, is going to be That Fic which Ava requested last year. Shota isn’t nearly as bad as some of the other things I’ve written lately. My shame is completely gone.)

Billy and tim for Ali because she had a rough night

This is adding twincest vibes to the Drake twins plotbunny, but still not helping. Resist, Lector, resist.
