turtlesocks asked: Ra's/Tim, either the Genderswap or pretending to be married.
Genderswap- I’m going with sex and gender swap, always female Tim and Ra’s. Ra’s’ history is a little different here. She married an alchemist’s son, for the opportunity to study his work on the sly. Unexpectedly, her husband found out, and supported her in her studies- Ra’s would have been one of the great female scholars of the age, were she not destined for other things. She is called to resurrect the prince, like in canon. Here, though, the prince was obsessed with her, not her spouse, and murdered her husband when he tried to protect her from the prince’s maddened advances. She is not punished- Ra’s is a slight woman, with small, delicate hands, and anyone who tried to claim she was the one to twist her husband’s breath from his throat would be laughed into the street.
Ra’s has her revenge anyway. She retreats into the role of ‘head of the demon’, renouncing her femininity and living publicly as a male. Nyssa and Talia happen somehow, though I’m not quite sure how. She’s still an old fashioned sexist, despite that making her a hypocrite here. Sometime in the late 1800’s, she starts living as a woman again, although most league members still use male pronouns for her, even now.
Tim is still Tim, plus or minus a few bits, and an additional history of dealing with sexist assholes in nerd culture. She grew up in the 90’s, okay, and she played D&D even if it meant putting up with all sorts of creepy dudes who couldn’t keep their thoughts on a teeny little girl playing an rpg to themselves. She was also the loneliest girl on earth after someone outed her as queer in middle school. Janet and Tim were a bit closer here- Janet taught her daughter how to break someone’s foot by stomping right in high heeled shoes.
Ra’s and Tim meet when Tim as Robin blows up Ra’s cruise ship in the legacy arc. Ra’s can’t help but be fascinated by this tiny, stubborn girl, and that starts everything off. Canon-but-altered proceeds up until Red Robin begins. One notable exception: Steph really does die in the war games arc. Once we get to Red Robin, some of Dick and other’s well meaning attempts to get Tim to drop her mad quest end of going into…unfortunate territory. The word ‘hysterical’ gets used to describe Tim a few times.
Tim cuts everyone off, she’s so furious, and goes out looking for Bruce as Spoiler, in tribute to her dead girlfriend. Enter assassin trio, more altered canon, etc. Here, though, Tim isn’t the heir to Wayne Enterprises. Handing the company off to the Wayne who is both the youngest child and a girl? The board will refuse, and both Tim and Bruce knew it. So there’s no reason for Tam to be sent to get Tim.
As you might notice, Tim is very, very isolated here, which Ra’s takes advantage of. Cue creepy and disturbingly hot scenes of Ra’s seducing Tim, while also acting parental…for Ra’s and Tim, anyway. Lover and mother both, because if we can have daddy kink between gay men, we can have mommy kink between gay women, dammit.
A particularly vivid image I’m getting is Tim sitting in Ra’s’ lap, wearing a robe that’s half shucked off, revealing a single pale breast. Ra’s has one arm wrapped around Tim’s waist, and with is fondling Tim’s exposed breast with the other. She’s looking down at Tim, and her hair- long, dark, banded with silver-is falling down around Tim, a curtain cutting her off from the rest of the world.
I have a filthy mind, have you noticed?
