Barbara “Funny Ass” Gordon! I love this girl so much! (Smallville S11 #17)

Oh man, I just want to cry when I read this. Is it just me, or that a classic Steph line?

TW: slur
For everyone wondering where it’s established that Dick is Roma. This panel is from Batman: Gotham Knights #8, page 19.
Tim is looking at a framed newspaper clipping that reads: “THE MILLIONAIRE AND THE GYPSY: WAYNE HEIR TAKES CIRCUS ORPHAN IN AS WARD”
it would have been nice if they hadn’t used a slur in the headline, but there ya go—receipt proof that Dick is a POC

I *thought* there was canonical basis somewhere! Thanks a bunch, Megan.

From Gotham Knights #8 (I swear, the story in GK 8-11 is one of the best ever! More pics coming daily - provided I remember!)
Panel 1: In the weird Dick-centeredness that is my life, I am oddly happy that Lucius Fox acknowledges Dick but not Tim (even though it’s a bit rude). Yeah, that’s right - Dick was there first and is the coolest, most awesome son ever! It consoles me when I become irritated remembering that Tim eventually took over Wayne Enterprises for a hot minute when Bruce was “dead” (although Dick was doing stuff first - such as keeping Hush from giving away all the money - and Tim and business fit the Red Robin storyline better). Although, to be honest, it mainly bothers me that Tim took over the company because it highlights his adoption and then stupid people on the internet forget Bruce adopted Dick first. Whew! I feel better now.
Panel 2: Why is Tim so short? I know he’s the youngest, but comic books are terrible at drawing people to scale. I mean, have you seen Dark Victory? In half the images, Dick is the size of a toddler compared to Bruce! Also, I love the emphasis on “bike.” Go Dick and his motorcycle!

You shouldn’t be too mad about Tim being a son thing.  Because, *because* Tim took over WE, Tim had to become an emancipated minor, which basically says that Bruce wasn’t fit to raise Tim anymore.
For all intents and purposes, Tim isn’t Bruce’s adoptive son anymore.
Actually, I think that says a lot about a lot, the fact that Bruce was okay with asking Tim to become emancipated from him.  I doubt Bruce would *ever* have asked that of Dick.
Dick got to be Batman, got a hand-picked Robin, is still Bruce’s son.
Tim got cast out by someone who he trusted completely, he became emancipated from Bruce, and basically had no support system for the first arc of Red Robin.
His support system was Ra’s al Ghul.
I actually think Dick got the better end of this shitty deal.  And I don’t think anyone forgets that Dick was adopted too, and really is the golden boy of the family.

Bolded for emphasis. One sentence summery of why Ra’s and Tim will forever be one of my favorite character pairings, platonic or otherwise.

Aww, Timmy-baby, you are the cutest supervillain. The cutest.

I want more of this verse, so, so badly. It’s the most adorable thing I’ve read in ages.

I love how, out of all of them, Jason is posed almost like one of those T&A shots female characters get stuck with so much.
